The chute/creek is narrow here. Mountain stream water can flow through here in a torrent.
The one foot falls, or part of the chute. Looks small, but try to cross it after a storm or in the spring.
An access easement road has been made to the building site.

The Mulligan--a dark, narrow stream in places....very rocky, then small swamp areas. This is some of the wildest land in the entire Upper Peninsula.
Part of the chute. Off the property within about 2.5 miles this untamed stream contains five waterfalls--beautiful but challenging to explore. The Nature Convervancy holds developmental rights in perpetuity to protect this scenic waterfall area. Nice to have it so near your land.
Near the chute. Here is another choice to build on: a high bank visible in the upper half of the photo. The stream gurgles here; a sound many don't understand unless it's pointed out--a sleeping, soothing gurgle.
After an early autumn snow--this is just before the chute. Faster moving water here; notice how it's not yet frozen. A stunning view of a once commonplace landscape, now rare.
An old beaver pond evolved to grass lies snow-covered in the forground. We found rocks in the stream in order to get across.
Notice the big rock, which is typical of the area. One would not want to fall off this.
