A sad picture to me. The chimneys towering skyward amongst all the rubble of dis-assembly. The blue tarps covering the logs. Within 6 months the U.S. Forest service corps of engineers blew up all the chimnies.

Historic archival photo of the first cabin built, called the Library Cabin. Completed in 1902, legend has that Cyrus himself worked on it. I slept overnight here for one night only, and had a powerful and amazing dream to be elaborated on in my forthcoming book.

Another historic interior photo of the Library Cabin. In the early days it was called the Sitting Room Cabin, because its view across the green moss and shimmering lake to the rocky hills beyond presented an ideal portrait of nature's pure beauty, perfect for seated contemplation.

Historic archive photo. Above the white boat in the rafters I found a horseshoe, during dis-assembly. It was the only interior furnishing I was allowed to possess or that which was left. Wait, I also found 2 glass fire extinishers. Ones that one throws at a fire.

Lower porch of the Chimney Cabin. The water stains and weathering on the porch boards above were just beautiful. I did save some of those, but they were some the the few items that were hard to take apart.
